Bike-inn, bike-parking in Norway

Gottlieb Paludan Architects’ proposed design, Bike-Inn, is a modular, industrial design concept that may be adapted to the individual station and the required capacity. It is designed to encourage people to leave their cars at home and use bicycle as their preferred means of transportation.

The focus is on comfort and safety, a modern appearance and a clear communication. Bike-Inn is an easy and simple assembly, with a compact design and modular construction in standard dimensions, which help ensure easy transport of the bicycle hotel’s modules.

Bike-Inn is  designed with great transparency and good lighting conditions - elements that help ensure a good overview and an experience of security and safety. Thanks to the quality of the design, the bicycle hotels will be perceived as positive contributions to the urban spaces in which they are placed, and the lighting, accommodation and communication features of the bicycle hotels will bring new elements to the urban life. In addition, the design suggest a number of add-ons that can ensure a high level of comfort in the commuters’ everyday life.

Gottlieb Paludan Architects was honored a prize at the 2017 FutureBuilt Conference in Oslo, Norway.
