You can now see Copenhagen from the top of Amagerværket's Blok 4, which will be open to everyone throughout the summer.

On Wednesday, June 7, HOFOR opened the viewing platform at the biomass-fired power plant Block 4 and throughout the summer, visitors can take a trip up through the plant's spectacular 'forest' of tree trunks to the platform, where the view of the city, Øresund and the Swedish coastline can be enjoyed from a height of 45 meters.

On the way up the stairs, you can see inside the plant and the technology that produces district heating for Copenhagen and plays a central role in the ongoing effort to make Copenhagen the world's first carbon-neutral capital.

The design, which was developed for HOFOR in collaboration with Speirs Major, LYTT and MOE, has been honored at home and abroad and has won a number of prestigious design awards.
