Amager Power station shortlisted for WAF Award

11.07.2022

We are glad to share that our design for a biomass-fuelled CHP plant at Amager Power Station, BIO4, has been shortlisted for a World Architecture Festival Award in the category “Production, Energy & Recycling”.

Under the project name Plant Power, the design was developed to reflect the transition from fossil fuels to more sustainable sources of energy. Being a major stepping stone in the city of Copenhagen’s plan to become the world’s first CO2-neutral capital, trees and wood are principal, distinguishing elements of the architectural design, telling the story about the origins of the biomass that fuels the plant.

The design was developed for HOFOR in collaboration with Speird Major, LYTT and MOE.

The Winners og this year's WAF Awards will be announced at the World Architecture Festival in LIsbon from the 30 November to 2 December 2022.
