GPA wins Copenhagen Light Rail architecture assignment

Gottlieb Paludan Architects, with fellow team members GHB Landscape, Kontrapunkt and COWI, has been selected to design the 27 stations with surrounding urban space and landscapes on the upcoming Copenhagen Light Rail. The GPA team won the Architecture and Landscape assignment in competition with teams led by Arup and PLH.

The Copenhagen Light Rail will run through 9 suburban municipalities from Ishoej in the south to Lundtofte in the North, and is expected to create new possibilities for urban and commercial development in the area. The Copenhagen Light Rail is expected to be operational in 2021.
