Wastewater treatment plant Lundtofte

Gottlieb Paludan Architects has been providing architectural advice to the Lundtofte Waste Water Treatment Plant in Lyngby-Taarbæk Municipality since the early 1990s.

Lundtofte Wastewater Treatment Plant is situated directly adjacent to the recreational areas of Mølleåen Stream.

The Lundtofte Wastewater Treatment Plant has been extended to secure and increase its capacity to accommodate an additional load of 25,000 people. In addition, the water-treatment quality is being improved to enable the plant to comply with stricter environmental requirements in the future.

Gottlieb Paludan Architects carried out a number of construction works at the plant and liaised with relevant authorities, not least bearing in mind the plant’s unique location in a protected landscape. Gottlieb Paludan Architects was involved in drafting the local development plans for the area and drew up material forming the basis for processing various preservation and listing matters relating to the construction projects.

At the facility, Gottlieb Paludan Architects designed and planned an administration building with laboratories and changing rooms, workshop and garage buildings, an incineration building, various buildings for tanks and bins, and a structural covering of basins. In addition, Gottlieb Paludan Architects drafted plans for the operation and maintenance of the stock of buildings and other structures.
