Research lab at DTU

Gottlieb Paludan Architects has been architects on the new European headquarters and research center for FMC Corporations, set up in the existing office complex at Scion DTU in Hørsholm.

At the science park Scion DTU in Hørsholm, a former office building has been totally renovated and turned into a new head office for the American research-based company FMC Corporations, which develops innovative solutions and products for the global agricultural, industrial and consumer market. The new innovation centre constitutes a hub for research and development (R&D), regional administrative functions as well as regional sales activities. In addition, the centre supports the company’s growth potential in Europe, with regards to the purchase of the Danish company Cheminova, in April 2015.

The new innovation centre consists of several advanced research laboratories, greenhouses and offices, ready to receive the more than 160 employees from around the world who will be working in Denmark. The ground floor is fitted out for Agriculture - primarily with laboratories but also a small office area and conference facilities. There is direct access to the newly established greenhouse via a glass passage. The first floor houses labs, open-plan offices and cell offices for Health and Nutrition, while the second floor is exclusively a mixture of open-plan and cell offices.

Gottlieb Paludan Architects has contributed with workshops, 3D visualization, project design and supervision.
