We have established a new bridges and mobility team

Architect and infrastructure specialist Christian Ernst joins Gottlieb Paludan Architects as Head of the newly established team Bridges & Mobility as of 1 January 2021. The new team will assist in consolidating the architectural firm’s strong position in the field of infrastructure design and further develop the firm’s international bridge-design activities.

Gottlieb Paludan Architects is particularly renowned for its infrastructural expertise and powerful design profile. By engaging the services of Christian Ernst, architect, MAA – a specialist with international experience in the fields of bridge design and mobility – Gottlieb Paludan Architects is consolidating and developing its position and expertise in the fields of transport and infrastructure.

Christian comes from a position with the international architectural firm Brownlie Ernst and Marks, which he personally co-founded in 2012, and which notably has transport and infrastructure as its core areas.

Christian has twenty years of infrastructure and transport experience on multidisciplinary project teams all over the world and possesses particular expertise in the field of bridge design.

He has been responsible for several major international projects, such as the Gerald Desmond Bridge in Long Beach, California, and the Frederick Douglass Memorial Bridge in Washington D.C. Christian has also been at the forefront of green mobility solutions, such as the Ullevål Stadium Footbridge in Oslo.

Gottlieb Paludan Architects has led multiple bridge tasks in Denmark and Sweden, including Byens Bro in Odense, Denmark, and the firm is currently working for Britain’s Network Rail on designing new bridges at several hundred stations around the country.

The establishment of a new team specializing in bridges and mobility aims to prepare the firm for an even deeper commitment to international bridge and mobility assignments.
