Gottlieb Paludan Architects' proposal for a new bridge across Fossvogur in Reykjavik, Iceland has been announced as the runner-up in the international design competition. The bridge design was developed in collaboration with KI Rådgivende Ingeniører, ES-Consult and Arkteikn.

With our proposal, we adhered to our ambitions to always deliver timeless designs, wherein architectural and engineering excellency is combined. Here, this resulted in a sober and elegant crossing of the Fossvogur bay with a minimum amount of piers in the water - whilst respecting the height-restrictions from the nearby Reykjavik Airport.
