Gottlieb Paludan Architects’ Annual Sustainability Report 2021

12.07.2022

We have just submitted our 13th annual report to the UN Global Compact initiative. In every annual report since 2009, we have reviewed progress on our work with human rights, labour rights, the environment and anti-corruption.

Some highlights:

• Gottlieb Paludan Architects has taken a decisive step towards a more sustainable practice. We have launched an internal sustainability education program for our entire architectural practice in Copenhagen. Read more about the education program on page 33.

• This year, Gottlieb Paludan Architect has undergone a generational change of management and, with this change, the company is ready for a decisive step towards an even more sustainable practice. The new management team is committed to three main agendas, which support the company’s strategic ambitions and international growth targets: sustainability, diversity and digitalisation. Read more about the new management team on p. 37.

• This year, it was announced that the world’s first energy islands will be constructed in Denmark. As a response, we published our concept for the construction of energy islands, which mimics nature and thereby reduces its negative impact on the surrounding marine environment. Read more about the concept on page 56 in the report.
